Bystander Intervention Policy

Saint Peter’s University students are expected to take reasonable action to prevent, stop, and/or report any potential violations on campus. Failure to help and/or assist another member within the University community is strictly prohibited. This policy includes, but is not limited to:

• Encouraging or permitting other to engage in misconduct 
• Failing to confront, prevent, or report misconduct to a University official 
• Failing to remove oneself from a situation which misconduct is happening

Failure to comply with this policy may result in student conduct action that is reflective of the severity of the policy violation.
