Smoking Policy
Saint Peter’s University students are not permitted to use, possess, or sell tobacco-related products, including electronic cigarettes, on campus. New Jersey law prohibits the purchasing and use of tobacco for anyone under the age of 21 years old. In accordance with New Jersey law, smoking is also prohibited inside all buildings. This includes classrooms, residence halls, auditoriums, hallways, stairwells, elevators, lobbies, building entryways, terraces, churches, gymnasiums, and health care facilities, offices, as well as the public and private areas. Additionally, smoking is not permitted within fifty feet of the entrances or exits of any university owned or leased on campus and off campus buildings and facilities. Failure to comply with this policy may result in student conduct action that is reflective of the severity of the policy violation.
