Social Work
Social Work Minor
The Social Work minor at Saint Peter’s University provides students with a foundational understanding of the social work profession, including human behavior, social systems, diversity, oppression, and social justice advocacy. Rooted in the University’s Jesuit tradition and the principle of cura personalis, the program emphasizes ethical decision-making, cultural humility, service, and the promotion of human dignity and well-being. The minor complements a wide range of majors by developing empathy, systems thinking, and advocacy skills, preparing students to make meaningful contributions in fields such as healthcare, education, public policy, criminal justice, psychology, and business.
